Proksee News
Proksee has been migrated to completely new cloud hardware and infrastructure. This was a major maintenance event, and the service was offline for approximately five days while we moved the application, database, analysis workers, and user data to the new environment.
The most noticeable improvement should be faster server-based analysis tools. Across the board, we expect many tools to run approximately twice as fast as they did on the previous infrastructure. The new environment also gives us additional resources that can be used to support more tools and future improvements to Proksee.
All existing user data has been migrated. However, if you notice any issues with your maps, jobs, or files since the migration, please let us know as soon as possible. We will keep a temporary copy of the data on the old servers for a limited time, which may help us investigate and resolve migration-related issues.
This is also a good time to remind users that Proksee should not be used as the only copy of important data. Although we take care to maintain the service and protect user data during system updates, Proksee does not provide a formal backup service for user accounts, maps, or analysis results. We recommend that users keep their own copies of important maps and results, including downloading maps in Map JSON format for long-term storage.
Thank you for your patience during this migration.
